Cup-and-Saucer Vine (Cathedral Bells) - mixed colors.
Cobaea scandens.
An unusual climbing plant with magical charm.
This vine is full of incredible charm that is impossible to resist. It tirelessly storms trellises, walls, pergolas, and gazebos, transforming everything around with its luxurious attire. Its main trump card is the numerous large bell-shaped flowers set against beautiful, carved leaves.
Characteristics:
* Growth: Clings to supports with tendrils, forming numerous shoots up to 3-4 meters long.
* Flowers: Large "gramophones" (6-8 cm in diameter) in purple and white, with long stamens and a pistil.
* Timing: Blooms from July until the first frost.
* Use: Ideal for vertical gardening, decorating facades, and gazebos. In winter gardens (conservatories), Cobaea covers large areas in a short time.

AGROTECHNICS: Path to Success.
The plant loves light and heat. Grows rapidly on fertile soils. Responds well to regular feeding and watering.
1. Sowing for seedlings.
Carried out in late February - early March in boxes. Seeding depth 1.5 cm. At a soil temperature of +20°C, seedlings appear on days 14-20.
2. Pricking out and support.
Seedlings in the first true leaf phase are pricked out one by one into pots. Important: provide stakes for support immediately, as Cobaea starts clinging very early.
3. Planting out.
Plant in open ground in late May - early June (when the threat of frost has passed), maintaining a distance of 60-80 cm between plants.

Cobaea scandens White, Mehhiko vanikkuljus Valge
Bot. syn.: Cobaea lasseri Pittier, Rosenbergia scandens.

Did you know that ... slow-germinating kobei seeds will germinate faster if they are germinated before sowing until they hatch, like cucumbers.
Soaked seeds should be kept in the light at a temperature of at least +20 °C, preferably in a plastic bag.
The sprouted seeds should be placed one by one in pots with a diameter of 8-10 cm, with the flat side down.
